Khouloud Ayuti from Israel Elected Board Member of the Rhode Island-Israel Collaborative (RIIC)

The Rhode Island-Israel Collaborative (RIIC), a not-for-profit, 501(c)(6) organization that promotes business, academia and research between Israel and Rhode Island recently announced the election by the board on March 18, 2021 Khouloud Ayuti, the Co-CEO of PresenTense as board member from Israel.

Khouloud Ayuti is a social activist who grew up in Jaffa. Growing up in the underprivileged and marginalized Arab community, she has dedicated her life to working with diverse communities and youth.

Her work with youth led her to receive the title of Global Teen Leader by the prestige We Are Family Foundation International Youth program at only 18 years old. In the goal of pursuing her passion for social change, she studied Social and Political Sciences which led her to managing peace building and education programs at the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation. In the effort of promoting her own community in Jaffa, she arrived at Presentense as the coordinator for the Made in Jaffa program in 2017 and had since progressed to the role of Co-CEO of the organization.

Khouloud visited Rhode Island in 2018 and during her visit, she met members of the community in Central Falls, Pawtucket and Providence and met Lt. Governor McKee who is now the governor of Rhode Island.

“I am very pleased that Khouloud accepted becoming a board member of our organization. Khouloud will bring with her, her vast experience of innovation and bringing it to underserved communities and will make contributions of the Israel side of the board stronger, tapping on her talent. We now have three Israeli board members, making our board more diverse and in tune with the community, both in Israel and Rhode Island. “ Avi Nevel, Founder, CEO and President.
