On Sunday, March 1st, the event was held at the Jewish Alliance building in Providence, where the Rhode Island–Israel Collaborative, together with the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island, proudly hosted a successful and uplifting Israel Travel Fair.

The program opened with warm remarks by Dori Adler of the Jewish Alliance, who emphasized how important it is to stay connected to our roots and strengthen our bond with Israel — especially during challenging times. She also congratulated the many vendors who came to support the event.
Avi Nevel, Founder & CEO of the Rhode Island–Israel Collaborative, (RIIC), followed with welcoming remarks and shared a powerful message from the event’s theme: “Israel misses you, and you miss Israel. Now, more than ever, it’s time to go.” BEST TIME TO VISIT ISRAEL His words focused on resilience, partnership, and looking ahead with hope.
Following Avi’s remarks, greetings on behalf of the Israel Ministry of Tourism were delivered by Eitan Sasson, Head of Sales of the Dan Hotels in the U.S. He highlighted Israel’s readiness to welcome visitors and encouraged participants to continue strengthening tourism ties.
The vendors represented a wide spectrum of opportunities — from leading hotel chains and private tour operators to volunteering organizations and groups dedicated to placing volunteers in Israel.
Participating Vendors (Alphabetical Order):
It was inspiring to witness the meaningful interaction between vendors and attendees. Despite understanding the current situation, many participants expressed strong interest in traveling — seeing this moment not as a deterrent, but as a test of solidarity and commitment. Families, students, seniors, and young professionals alike spoke about visiting, volunteering, and building deeper connections.
The atmosphere was vibrant and joyful, enhanced by Israeli music performed by two talented young Israeli musicians — Yuval Gur and Ariella Marcel from Berklee College of Music — creating an authentic and uplifting Israeli vibe.
Guests also enjoyed delicious Israeli food catered by Bonapita and Navad Bakery, bringing authentic flavors to the afternoon.
The afternoon was partially sponsored by the Consulate General of Israel to New England, whose support was helpful in making this magnificent gathering possible.
Thank you all the vendors, partners, musicians, sponsors, and especially to everyone who came to participate, meet the vendors, and enjoy an Israeli afternoon of music, food, and sharing. Your presence made the event truly meaningful.
Together, we continue strengthening the bridge between Rhode Island and Israel.
