Innovation knows no borders. This summer, students from Brown University and Ben-Gurion University of the Negev came together in Providence for an intensive two-week Neurotechnology Hackathon. Working side by side in interdisciplinary teams, they combined neuroscience, engineering, entrepreneurship, and creativity to develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges. RIIC recently visited Ocean State Labs in Providence to explore opportunities for Israeli life sciences, biotech, and healthcare companies seeking U.S. expansion. Discussions with Lilia Holt, Interim President of the Rhode Island Life Science Hub, and Dr. Danya Lavin, Executive Director of Ocean State Labs, focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and positioning Rhode Island as a launchpad for Israeli startups entering the U.S. market.
