Yariv Moravnik Shavitt: Commercial Specialist at U.S. Commercial Service (U.S. Embassy Israel).Visited Rhode Island May 3, 2023. In his current role, Yariv facilitates exports of U.S. goods and services into Israel, managing several portfolios including: Aerospace & Defense, Safety & Security and Agribusiness.
His first event in Rhode Island was hosted by the Newport Chamber of Commerce and took place at Innovate Newport where he met potential exporters.

His next stop for the day was visiting Roger Williams University and meeting with Dr. Galit Sharon from Center of Economic Development (CEED) and Allex Gourlay, Aquaculture & Aquarium Science Research Associate II. During the visit he learned about the different programs at the laboratory and potential export of marine species to Israel. Also, there was discussion about the upcoming Aquaculture conference that will be sometime in 2024.
