Temple Emanu-El and the Rhode Island Israel Collaborative (RIIC) are pleased to invite you to an inspiring evening with Dr. Hagay Amir, CEO and Director of the Loewenstein Hospital Rehabilitation Medical Center in Israel, who will share firsthand stories of resilience and recovery in the wake of October 7th. Through his experiences treating wounded soldiers and civilians, Dr. Hagay will offer insight into the medical, emotional, and societal impacts of rehabilitation during times of crisis.


 About Dr. Hagay Amir:

Dr. Hagay Amir, CEO and Medical Director of the Loewenstein Rehabilitation Medical Center, is double-boarded in Orthopedics and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has a distinguished career as a military physician, orthopedic and rehabilitation specialist, and researcher, introducing groundbreaking technologies such as osseointegration and bionic prosthetics to Israel. During the October 7th war, Dr. Hagay led Loewenstein in providing critical rehabilitation care to soldiers and civilians, reinforcing its role as a national center for healing.
