Building Bridges: Israeli Neurotechnology Students Visit Providence
Discover the Future of Neurotechnology
Innovation knows no borders.
This summer, students from Brown University and Ben-Gurion University of the Negev came together in Providence for an intensive two-week Neurotechnology Hackathon. Working side by side in interdisciplinary teams, they combined neuroscience, engineering, entrepreneurship, and creativity to develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
Now, we invite you to experience the results.
Join us for an inspiring evening where the students will present the innovative projects they developed during their two-week collaboration. Guided by faculty mentors and professionals from academia and industry, the teams tackled some of today's most exciting challenges in neuroscience and neurotechnology while learning from one another across cultures, disciplines, and backgrounds.
Come meet the students, hear the stories behind their projects, and discover how international collaboration is helping shape the next generation of innovation.
What to Expect
During the showcase, you'll have the opportunity to:
• Meet the student teams from Brown University and Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
• Hear presentations about the innovative neurotechnology concepts they developed during the program.
• Learn how interdisciplinary collaboration and entrepreneurial thinking can help solve real-world neuroscience challenges.
• Ask questions and interact directly with the students after their presentations.

Why Neurotechnology Matters
Neurotechnology is one of the fastest-growing areas of science and innovation. By combining neuroscience with engineering, artificial intelligence, computer science, and medicine, researchers are developing technologies that are transforming our understanding of the human brain.
These advances have the potential to improve the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders, enhance rehabilitation, improve mental health, and create entirely new approaches to personalized medicine. The ideas presented by these students represent the next generation of thinking in this rapidly evolving field.
Building Global Connections Through Innovation
Some of the world's greatest innovations begin when talented people from different countries and disciplines come together to solve complex problems.
The collaboration between Brown University and Ben-Gurion University demonstrates the power of international partnerships to inspire creativity, accelerate discovery, and prepare tomorrow's scientific and entrepreneurial leaders.
Programs like this strengthen the growing partnership between Rhode Island and Israel while creating opportunities for future collaborations among universities, researchers, healthcare organizations, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders.
Looking Ahead
Today's student projects represent much more than classroom exercises. They are early examples of ideas that could one day improve lives around the world.
By encouraging collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship, programs like this help prepare future leaders who will continue advancing neuroscience and neurotechnology while strengthening international partnerships for years to come.
