The RIIC was honored to receive Governor Dan McKee's citation for its Latino web project

We at the Rhode Island Israel Collaborative )RIIC (are honored to receive one of the Rhode Island Foundation's Best Practice Awards awarded to three organizations each year for the Latino Web Page project.

The award is sponsored annually by Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island. It is given to organizations who excel in a program that has an emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion.

The Rhode Island Foundation recognized our Latino Web Page project which we initiated and performed together with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Rhode Island.

The citation states as follows, "The Rhode Island Foundation is honoring three nonprofit organizations with its annual Best Practice Awards. The work that is being honored includes an initiative to support Latino-owned small businesses and a community gardening program that grew one ton of fresh produce for a local food pantry. These organizations emerged from a highly competitive process and an impressive group of nominees. There is something valuable in each of their remarkable examples that can help every nonprofit achieve more,” said Jill Pfitzenmayer, the Foundation’s vice president of capacity building. We at the Rhode Island Israel Collaborative (RIIC) congratulate the two other winners: Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown and Woonsocket Afterschool Coalition.

We appreciate this recognition and thank our supporters and partners on this project.
