RI Bio and Rhode Island Israel Collaborative (RIIC) Host Disruptive Neuroscience Technologies Chang


The forum offered the opportunity to hear from neuroscience thought leaders from Rhode Island to Israel about their insights and perspectives on the evolution of neuroscience research and what excites them about the future prospects for the field. RI Secretary of Commerce provided opening remarks for the forum. The keynote speaker was Professor Alon Friedman, M.D., Ph.D., who led the establishment of the Inter-Faculty Brain Sciences School at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU). The event moderator was Kunal Mankodiya, PhD, Director Wearable Biosensing Lab, URI and panelists included Dr. Walter Besio, Electrical, Computer, & Biomedical Engineering, Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program, URI, Dr. Elinor Amit, Assistant Professor of the Coller School of Management, Tel Aviv University and Research Scientist at Brown University, Dr. Rachel Rac-Lubashevsky, Fulbright scholar and a postdoc fellow at the Neural Computation and Cognition lab at Brown University and Wael Assad, MD, PhD,
