Misha Joukowsky

Michael Joukowsky is a seasoned entrepreneur in the business and investment world. He is also CEO and President of Crawford High-Performance Composites Ltd. as well as the CEO of a private investment firm, specializing in domestic and international value oriented investments. In addition, Mr. Joukowsky is a General Partner in the SSP Real Asset GP, LLC and SSP Private Equity GP, LLC.
During his career, Mr. Joukowsky has founded and managed several private investment companies involved in acquisitions and mergers, real estate and mortgage acquisition, as well as a private family investment and advisory firm.


In 1996, Mr. Joukowsky became co-founder and owner of Resolute Racing Shells in Bristol Rhode Island which was created by a team of World Cup yacht builders and designers. His passion for rowing is also apparent in his success as a coxswain, winning and setting a course record in the Copas Cup at the 2003 Henley Women’s Regatta. Most recently, Mr. Joukowsky became the first person to become an honorary member of Oxford University Women’s Lightweight Rowing Club.
Additionally, Mr. Joukowsky is the manager of Crawford Composites, LLC, a North Carolina manufacturer of high-performance composite products, including NASCAR professional race cars. He is also the chairman of General Composites, Inc. a New York-based contract composite manufacturer that does work for the medical, defense and recreation industries.


Mr. Jowkousky is a graduate of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island U.S. and received his MBA from Babson College, Wellesley, Massachusetts, U.S. and has been a member of the Brown University President's Leadership Council since its inception in 2004.
Mr. Joukowsky has served as a member of its Adjunct Faculty’s Engineering Department for the past 27 years and currently teaches a section of Engineering 9. He has also been part of the President’s Leadership Council since its inception in 2004 and co-founded the Entrepreneurship Forum which led to the development of the Initiative for Entrepreneurship and Organizational Studies. He currently serves as co-chair of the program’s fundraising committee.
In 1994, Mr. Joukowsky joined the Brown University Sports Foundation Board of Directors and served for several years. He has also been active with alumni outreach, participating on various reunion committees in leadership roles.


Other appointments and committee memberships include:
-Chairman of the investment committee for the Family Foundation -Co-Chair, Norman Prince Neurosciences Institute Advisory Council (NPNI) -Member, NPNI Steering Committee -Trustee, Rhode Island Hospital Foundation -Member, Lifespan Investments Committee (largest medical services provider in Southeastern New England). - Member of the Brown Annual Fund Leadership Council - (2002 to 2005) and an Entrepreneurship Program Advisory Board Member (1999 to Present).
Born in Milan, Italy, Mr. Joukowsky has resided Lebanon, Hong Kong and New York. Mr. Joukowsky currently resides in Providence, Rhode Island, USA.
